ZZZ Bangboo — FAQ
What are Bangboo?
Bangboo are the robotic combat companions agents bring into battle in Zenless Zone Zero. Each Bangboo fills the sixth slot in a team, joining Chain Attacks and adding a passive skill, and has a rank (S or A) that reflects its power.
What is the best Bangboo in ZZZ?
There is no single best Bangboo — the right pick depends on team composition. Per Prydwen's Version 3.0.2 usage data, Sprout is the most-used Bangboo at 69% usage, followed by Biggest Fan at 21%, Robin at 20%, Miss Esme at 18% and Birkblick at 17%. Ultra Jake also appears in several top Deadly Assault teams.
How do you get S-Rank Bangboo?
S-Rank Bangboo are obtained from the Bangboo banner (a separate Signal Search from agent and W-Engine banners), from specific in-game events, or crafted using Bangboo Algorithm Modules earned through Hollow Zero and other activities.
Do Bangboo matter?
Yes. A Bangboo occupies a real team slot and its passive skill contributes meaningful stats, DMG or utility — an S-Rank Bangboo suited to the team's damage type is a standard part of end-game team building, not an optional extra.
